the first clinical system
Enhanced for Clinical Studies
Third generation device
for general clinical use
Adtec Healthcare based in London is the European subsidiary of Adtec Plasma Technology Japan, with over 30 years experience of developing plasma products. In 2004, Adtec first introduced our microwave driven cold gas plasma technology to the Max-Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial physics in Germany leading to a joint development project in Plasma Medicine.
Passionate about Plasma
Adtec’s first medical product, the MicroPlaSter was developed in 2005 using a unique patented plasma treatment head developed in collaboration with the Max Planck Institute. The MicroPlaSter alpha and beta prototypes were used as research tools for the study of the effect of cold atmospheric plasma on infections in chronic wounds. The MicroPlaSter beta has been used effectively in phase II clinical studies to treat hundreds of patients in landmark studies. With over 3,500 patient treatments documented and no side effects reported, the Adtec Plasma System is the most studied cold plasma system available.
The Adtec SteriPlas is the third generation Adtec Plasma System. Designed and manufactured in the UK, the SteriPlas has design and performance improvements that allow safe use in a wider range of clinical applications, including chronic and acute wound management, dermatology, burns treatment and surgical site infections.
